F.A.Q.

All the answers to your frequently asked questions

There are several factors that contribute to the cost of each component or assembly. From overhead, staff, raw materials and tooling for example.

All of our raw materials meet ISO, ANSI or Mil-Spec certifications. Many of our materials are destined for the aviation industry. Materials without certification (or an untraceable one) are often 20-60% cheaper. What this means is that in addition to receiving a high-quality product, it will be of consistent quality from one batch to the next.

MooreSport also works with some of the most advanced tooling, software, and equipment manufacturers available to help us consistently achieve tighter tolerances, superior strengths, and some of the highest quality surface finishes available on the market. Our lengthy design and development process also allows for a more precise part with less deflection and removal of unnecessary weight. Both endurance and theoretical simulations are completed before we do an extensive battery of live testing that put our parts under the most extreme situations. For the rare components we don’t make ourselves, we work with trustworthy partners that make sure not only the parts are compatible, but that they will work best together.

It really depends on how you use your car. Both carry the same warranty regardless of the application. Perhaps consider the following:

         – If you race a lot and drive your car only on the track (it is transported via a trailer) then you would definitely choose our Motorsport parts.

         – If you drive your car daily on the streets (even if you do the occasional track day with it) then our Street parts are probably better suited for you.

We will always encourage you to buy MooreSport parts from your local dealer when possible. It is important for us to support our partners within this industry so pricing worldwide will be the same. Also, when you buy locally, you get support from a distributor that is just as passionate about motorsport as we are. They are often much better suited to offer you on-site support, installation assistance, and respond to your questions on a more timely basis.

You can find your local MooreSport distributor HERE. If your region currently is not serviced by a MooreSport dealer, we will be happy to assist you directly.

Every custom project is unique so it is difficult to put prices online. Depending on the complexity of the design and production, the materials we use, exclusivity or not, and the quantity you order, prices will vary.

More or less, you should budget a minimum of 3x what you believe it might take. Our rates are:

– 125$ USD/hr for design and consultation

– 175$ USD/hr for production (includes basic materials.)

Onsite support will vary from application to application. All travel & accommodation expenses are at par.

The first step is to send us a message explaining your situation. Please give us as many details as you can (car model and year, part and/or assembly number, replacement parts you need, etc. as well as your original proof of purchase.) Sending us pictures is also an enormous help.

When we do discontinue a part, we usually make sure that we still have a couple of replacement parts, just in case. If we do, we will be happy to ship you what you need. If we don’t, we are going to do everything we can to find the best options for you. Most often, a credit towards the newer replacement item, or a custom made one-off part will be made.
